Morrigan is the protagonist of the Endless Knot. Much of the story is her own.

How powerful is the particle lance she carries? Is it like a Gravitational Beam Emitter from BLAME! (A manga that has an anime adaptation available on Netflix)?
Assuming you don’t know what it is, the Gravitational Beam Emitter (GBE) is a gun about the size of your average glock, but powerful enough to be considered an example to the trope: Wave Motion Gun. At the lowest charge level of a GBE, it shoots a beam SEVENTY KILOMETERS LONG that can go through stuff that can TANK NUKES IN THE HUNDRED MEGATON RANGE like it’s not even there.
It also has enough recoil to cause the guy who’s firing it to have his arm to violently snap back at the lowest power level. At mid-level charge, it will either knock the wielder over, or send them flying. At high-level charge, it will break the shooter’s arm. And at max power (overcharge), it will RIP THE GUY’S ARM OFF. (not that he cares, he just reattaches it and it heals perfectly in due time)
In the manga it had four levels of power along with an overcharge function, in the anime it looks to have EIGHT CHARGE LEVELS ALONG WITH THE OVERCHARGE. We only see it go up to level three though.

And here’s a fight where it’s charged up to level three against a female-looking muderdeathkillbot that gets one as arm cannon (skip to 4:03 and watch to the end) there’s another beam weapon used that’s not a GBE but for some reason makes the same sounds (I’ve come to call this weapon a particle beam and think it should have a harsher “cycling power to firing system” sound and make a loud *BZZZZZZZZT* noise when it fires instead)

The Goddess of FRENZIED War. There are a lot of connections to celtic, especially Irish, mythology since the human faction in the Endless Knot are basically space celts.
