The naked skin contrasted with the hard surfaces really works here to increase the vulnerability of the piece. I have seen this method before, but it is really well done here...maybe because we only see part of the body? Or because it is the rear and the person is hiding their head so they feel far more exposed and then we unconsciously sympathize with that compromised position? Interesting!

 i think its what we like in books: not taking us on hand to let our imaginations flow. and that is, what it makes it interesting. finding pieces of ourself in it, always trying to explore the hidden. so the whole body will always transform in something new, depeding on your mood an perspective. i guess that makes it likeable.
