That is a song I really love, and it may fit this picture quite well. (In fact this is only a very kitschy "magical" autumn pic...)

Hair is something difficult... I never thought of it, but now, while painting this picture, I finally realised that. (So much more to practise out there!)
The picture may be called finished, but there still could be done so much. O_O
I got three very helpful paintovers (or OPs) during the painting process, and especially *janaschi s OP helped me a lot with the light colour and the collarbone area. Thank you!

jesus christ, I've never seen such beautiful lightning. This piece really has an admireable glow, but sharp at the same time. Haven't seen that before. I usually get an idea about how people techniqally painted their paintings but I've got absolutely no clue how you've managed. The colouurs really stand out. : o

Well, I can't really tell you, either. It is a combination of Painter and Paint Sgop Pro (I think i didn't have PS at that time), a very nice overpaint and a general picture idea. And time... lots of time needed for this picture. (Oh, and don't forget the reference photos! Lots of them, too.)

Oh, really? I owned an earlier version, too, and always felt well working with it. Of course older version don't have some aspects current versions have. Today the program is much like Photoshop and other graphics programs.

wow, beautiful piece! love the lighting. there is a lot of depth and beautiful subsurface scattering on the skin.
one detail that is just lovely is the blue on her nose, reflecting the bg color a bit.

The details (such as her freckles) are really good, as is the way the light, coming from the source in her hands, reflects off her figure.
Plus, I just love how her hair seems to float around in the space she is in, her calm expression and the general soft feel of this piece of art.

Auf diese spezielle Art und Weise der Schattierung (bzw. des Lichts) kam es mir ja auch an. gar nicht so leicht, und ohne Hilfe unmöglich.

Jeder Kommentar ist toll, und so unkonstruktiv ist der doch jetzt gar nicht. (An Weihnachten hatte ich nämlich noch gar nicht gedacht, ist aber 'ne gute Idee...)
Es bezieht sich konkret eigentlich auf gar nichts. Oder auf alles.
Ich wollte eigentlich nur mal "Licht von unten" üben und hatte Spaß daran, daraus ein etwas kitschiges Bild zu machen. Die welligen Haare sind auch so ein Faktor...
Die nächsten Bilder werden wieder etwas weniger, äh... esoterisch.

Hehe, klar. Aber es stört mich eben, dass "große" Bilder bei mir immer soo lange dauern, weil die erste Skizze bzw. die ersten WIPs meist überhaupt nicht stimmen... Erst durch die Anregungen anderer wird das dann doch was ganz gutes. (Und auch so, wie es eigentlich auch in meinem Kopf ist.)
Aber ich hab auch schon einen Weg gefunden, um das zu verhindern.
(Das setzt bei der Skizze an, und ich will jetzt auch erstmal eine kleine Übungsrunde einlegen.)
