The Great God PanWen I first saw this wonderful stock image cerebralaperture cerebralaperture.deviantart.co… I immediately thought that was perfect as a base for a photo manipulation of the God Pan. The picture captures a sense of inner strength and subtle menace that in my opinion would be perfect for a primeval slightly demonic God as Pan.
I am not really sure that a more complex background will improve the manip. but in the future I will try to found a suitable background for this composition in the meantime I hope you will enjoy it.

You asked for background suggestions ... since Pan is related to Selene, then perhaps moonlight with shadows to accentuate Pan's darker nature. Regardless, I appreciate the human pose coupled with the animal foreground. Very nicely done.

Try to get an inspiration from the Greek statue of the goddes Afrodite with Pana! Btw... this is a nice piece of work!

Pan isn't demonic though... He's the God of the wild

In a way can be considered the God of our wild instinctual side opposed to the more controlled and rational one. Pan was also associated with the holy terror (since the word Panic) so a frightening primeval divinity linked to sexuality and wilderness, this is why it seem to me a little Demonic. Of course I am not referring to the Christian Demon concept, even if Pan was considered in Christian times as the Devil itself.

I do not remember a wife of Pan. But Pan, as many other Greek gods was essentially a serial rapist (If you are a god you can do whatever you like) so his ugly appearance was not a problem for him but for the nymphs not fast enough to outrun him.
