Description Gryphon

A resting Gryphon portrayed in the middle age/Renaissance style, the classic heraldic Gryphon.
A curiosity is that the bird body in this picture is not of an eagle but of a secretary bird, strangely I found that the secretary bird resemble more the heraldic Gryphon than the eagle.

If you like this picture I photomanipulated recently an hyppogriff here sgorbissa.deviantart.com/art/T…

hope you enjoy

But costly to maintain, gryphons love raw elephant meat and occasionally human flesh

Thank you! But griphons were described as very fierce beasts, not a petting matherial.
Besides also expensive to feed as they were supposed to hunt and eat elephants !!

Thank you, indeed it seem to me that the creature looks natural (not an easy task wen you blend together photographic stocks) But perhaps the picture is lacking dynamism, anyway is receiving less favs than Hippogriff [link] a photomanip. of similar subject that i did recently.
Thanks again.

Well not very much, around 6 hours i think. Most of the picture was completed in a morning session on Saturday and then a few hours in the evening for the finishing touches.
thank you for the compliments
