Well it's really just the textures I found. It was done in photoshop fairly quickly just adding in the textures to shapes then making them spherical in appearance. I think it looks more impressive than it really was to make it, wish I could help, but I stopped doing any digital work a good amount of time ago and don't have the tutorials or textures I used then. I would highly recommend finding a tutorial here on DA, there are plenty floating around that deal with planets/space.

Just used a tutorial and combined some textures and backgrounds from NASA. It looks more complicated than it really is. But thank you.
