I was asked by someone once what my Solar Empress looked like after I had mentioned her. Unfortunately, I don't recall who asked...^_^;;;; I went and unearthed these two renderings of her and her design hasn't changed at all since these were conceived. These drawings are about 10 years

Anyway...Amber is a 'True' Empress of the Sun....the evidence of this is her two pairs of wings. Only the 'True Empress' and 'True Emperor'' have a double pair of wings. All other nobles of the Sun only have one pair and common citizens have none. The wings are fully functional in all cases. Children born of a noble and common citizen are often seen with small, deformed wings. Seeing as Nobles do not marry Commoners, these births are usually not legitimate and so children with such markings are usually seen as inferior.

Though there must always be an Emperor and Empress, most have been in name only. They do not have the double pair of wings and do not possess the power that the True Royals have. True Royals are very, very rare and all descend in some way from the very first True Royal pair. Even commoners have the ability to have a True Royal as a child. Regardless of who the parents are, the child is taken away immediately and brought to the main castle to be raised. Non-Noble parents are elevated to Noble status though they do not get to see their child. Noble parents are rewarded with either land or monetary wealth and also do not get to interact with their child.

Usually, if a True Royal appears, it is only one of the two...either just the Empress, or just the Emperor....both together has only occurred two other times in the history of the Sun and both times perpetuated great Events...the destruction of the Silver Millennium being one of them.

In the current time period for my fic (after SMR), the Sun has both True Royals.

The two pairs of wings basically tell people that the person who has them has true power....what they DON'T know is that that true power comes from a Sailor Crystal. The True Empress always had the ability to transform into a Senshi and use the power of the Sun. However, even the Empress does not know that. As far as anyone knows, no written record has ever been kept and the last time the Empress appeared as a Senshi was during the Silver Millennium's destruction, which is a LONG time to pass and a long time for memory to fade.

The Emperor, on the other hand, does not carry a Sailor Crystal...what he DOES carry inside him is a Sol Sword. He has the ability to manifest his power into this sword and bond his soul to it. He, like the Empress, doesn't know that, though he's aware that he can call the sword out.

What they could do as a couple would be incredible.....if they knew about it... The sword is powerful in it's own right but the Empress and her Sailor Crystal are stronger. The sword, when wielded by her, would enhances her strength, endurance and power. The Emperor would use his love and will to give the sword added strength and he could also use the sword to communicate telepathically with the Empress. This telepathic communication is only possible when she would wield the sword.

Unlike the Empress's Sailor Crystal, knowledge of the sword is prevalent...though the Emperor does not know he can bond to the sword...he only knows that he has it inside him. Many view the sword as symbolic.

Another symbol is the Empress's crown. Only the True Empress can wear it...it burns the flesh of anyone else who would try...

A True Emperor and Empress are bonded at birth with a strong sense of love and unity. When the two Royals appear in the same time-frame, they ALWAYS form a life/love bond. If they are born separate, they are still capable of loving the chosen name-only royal, but it is not a love bond.

Amber and Apollo are both born in the same time frame. Apollo's brother is jealous of him though and so devises a means to overthrow him. He succeeds and imprisons his brother and proceeds to try to take Amber for himself.

Amber isn't as meek as she appears. She plots to find her bonded mate and knows he's still alive through their bond, despite the Brother telling everyone the Emperor has died. She is very limited on what she can do as she lives an almost Cloistered life. Her cat helps her and they find a way to send her to Earth where they know the Prince of the Earth resides.

And that's as far as I got... I know, I'm nuts!
