"He's dead Shadow!!"
"Yeah, get it through your skull!"
Why did they repeat this? Wouldn't they remember the moments he had with him, if those same things happened to them? Shadow just walked away. He needed to get away from this. His blinks would need to be fast, or the images of "him" would come back. But he remembered everything. But it all happened too fast...

-ten years before-

"Shads look out!" A familiar voice of Sonic the hedgehog. Shadow dodged the rock attacks, and ran beside Sonic. "Only one of us is gonna get out of here..." Shadow said, looking at the note. Some weird person put them through this contraption. So far, only one would escape from the home alive. And there was a hole at the top, where their other friends waited. "And that one is gonna be you." Sonic said. "Wait.. what!?" Shadow exclaimed as he was picked up bridal style. The one he'd had for himself... was gonna die.... the one that loved him..... was gonna... die... Sonic got near the top, and kissed Shadow, and Shadow kissed him back. "Remember, I will always love you.. no matter what." Sonic said smiling, and felt like he was about to cry. Shadow felt multiple tears run down his face. "No... Sonnikku...." Sonic already put Shadow through the hole, and in that moment, that of nobody knew how.... but he died...

Shadow found himself standing at the one place him and Sonic would go to all the time. A cliff with quiet seas and cool breezes. Then, Shadow saw a transparent form in front of him. Sonic's ghost. "Beutiful huh?" Sonic asked.
"S-Sonic..." Shadow whispered.
"The one and only."
"Ten years.... and you come NOW!?" Shadow felt heavy liquid fall down his face. "I've been mourning, and ignoring these stupid insults and you come NOW!? What the hell...?" Shadow started silently crying on his knees."Shadow..." the ghost said, as the coal colored hedgehog looked up. "I'm sorry.... they... they wouldn't let me see you..."
"Wh-Who?"
"Satan" Sonic growled. "I wasn't allowed to heaven and i have to live in actual hell." Shadow saw tears run down Sonics face. This was some sort of projectile... "When.. can I... actually be with you?" Shadow asked.
Sonic smiled. "Try tomorrow. At this time." Sonic said. Shadow eagerly nodded and ran home, not sad that his love was now some sort of demon, but happy in a way he was alive, and wanted to be good.
