Depressed may not have been the right words.but in sonic adventure 2 and heroes he was witty.post sonic 06 he was just boring.
I think his personality may be better now,but they haven't really used him "plot-wise"in any of the newer games,except free riders,which i've never played.

Yea although he did become a more "I'm focused" character he still has his cockiness that he had before. With his new voice actor, he can't pull off Griffith's Shadow so I assume they'll make him have some more emotions.
