1. To just ask before you used the image like everyone else who uses my photos in icons or art does.
2. To give me credit anywhere in the group's info for the image, or linking to the original photo here on DA.

you can't put copyright into the icon itself, you would need to upload to icon separatly and put credit into the comment below the deviation.
its ok, just think a little before using people's images in the future, think how you would want your artwork treated by others

yes I certainly do! The only rules are to refer to the original shot and me in the artwork's comment, and to let me know when you're done so I can feature it in my journal and in my special gallery for artwork based on my photos!

It might make you feel better to know that they can and do catch birds through the wire mesh at the top of their pens, they climb up and pull them through! The wolverines do it alot especially!

Heh. Zoo animals watching their outside counterparts is lovely
The Seals of Skansen dont only have seagulls and other birds stealing their food, they also once had a Squirrel standing on one of their cliffs 
The Male Grey resting there was very amused
But at any rate, this photo rules. You can see his curosity in the eyes and I envy the detail in the fur
