Description
Common dolphin with a peculiarly bent dorsal fin in the Hauraki Gulf out of Auckland, New Zealand. Not seen a dolphin with a bent fin like this in the wild before, its very weird as the fins are pretty brittle and snap rather than bend (I have seen dolphins with almost their entire dorsal fin missing). That is weird. I wonder if it could be some sort of mutation it was born with? But then, why...

mmm it could be, or it could be a condition or an injury that weakened the collagen in the fin. Impossible to tell!
