I made this from the cover of Marvel Ruins. The dead god it speaks of is Galactus, but they're basically just paraphrasing the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, who famously said:

“God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?”

So my first thoughts when seeing this turn to Dead Space, which although I haven't gotten around to playing the game itself yet (on my to-do list), the digital comic I read/watched from PSN, which sets up events that eventually lead to the game, has some dealing with religious stuff in it (albeit a fictional religion... But the linked train of thought is still there).

And then my thoughts quickly jumped to the song "Halleluyah!!! (God is Dead)" by the Polish death metal band Vader. Where the line "God!! Is dead!! Dead!! Halleluyah!!" is prominently repeated throughout.
