I think it was worth all the time and effort.It's finished! A piece for my friend Who beat me fair and square in a race to see who could beat expert mode first. He had Ashe, I had Grey. Naturally the most experienced hunter won. Go Get em Ashe!!
He also waited Very penitentially for this. I hope it was worth the wait, and thank you for you're patients.
Girls do rock.
They are dirty, a bit cut up, tiered, burnt, and poor Grey, he looks ready to drop. Right there with the cannon ending.
Ashe has got a victory hells yeah pose going on. I actually had some help with that. Strike this pose, and let me draw you sort of thing. XD Some things, still look a bit off perhaps?
That background, Um, I have a bit of a confession to make... I was up till about 4 AM last night working on it. I was having so much fun with it. Next thing I know, I've got most of the characters basic colors in, save it, then the mac crashes because it's so old, and then we reboot, and see the clock in the corner.
Oops.
But really, I feel quite proud of this piece. A lot of these details took what seemed to be forever, but it was WORTH it!
I also know what you must be thinking at this point to. Why doesn't Albert seem to have a face? Nose mouth, but no eyes that should be obviously seen. Well IS it really Master Albert? Or perhaps, it might be a dood who is of an unknown face dressed as Albert to make him more fun to beat up for editing a certain something from the game? You decided.

Thanks Bov! I totally worked my butt off on this one, and I have to say, I'm very proud of this work. Yeah, I hope I can get a new Mac soon to. I should probably call the bank see if that tax return went into my savings yet. I'm mostly counting on that for this new Mac. So, I have been looking. Lots.

Ashe is awesome. I can't deny my love for both characters. But I do prefer Grey as a standard. Even if some of Ashe's transformations have a bit more power than some of Grey's. I do rather like his slightly faster rate of fire with his weapon though. That, didn't stop me from Cosplaying as Ashe though. That was so much fun. XD

This is made out of so much win. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought Ashe's arm was way too big. But that was just her ponytail behind the arm in a similar color, looking like it belongs to the arm. Lol. There's some minor things, Ashe is a bit too much taller than Grey. But really who cares. I know I don't.
I love it. Ashe looks like I WIN, finally. 
Well actually I'm not sure. There are rumors that the problem just has been in fact that I didn't beat the game with Grey. But I don't care. I'm so sick of this business. I want to love the game, not hate it. Don't mention it.
Did I mention I love the background? Because it's absolutely stunning. It looks SO MUCH like the original. The dirt effects are great. The detail on Model A, even the guns, the doorway, the shattered glass on the floor! This is incredible.
Girls rock? Yes they do, and you my friend are a girl, and you ROCK. I wish I would have proper words to thank you for this. But I fear it's too awesome for that. You're the best, ShadowFox, simply the best. Is that what I should call you, or what name would you prefer? I realize I never really used your name.
You deserve more than just a hug. But it's the least I can give you.

Grey is a bit further back on the plan, and he's also hunched over, which, makes him look shorter than he already is. I don't know why, But I always pictured Grey a bit shorter than Ashe. I really don't know why though. But you are right, he does need a hug.
I am so glad you love that background. It was my goal to get it as close as possible to the original. Then I tore up that red carpet, exposing the purple painted floor beneath. And of course we can't forget earlier when the dragons head dragged across the floor, so we tore up more carpet, and scraped the metal floor.
Some of these details got a bit frustrating, but a few layers later and a bit of burn tool, (which, doesn't work too well on yellow I learned) it all looked quite good. ^^
As for my name, here, some people just call me Shadow, others just call me Fox. One person calls me Kot.
But you my friend, may call me by my real name, which, I realize I never gave to you, so I shall do so now.

From what I've heard, Grey is 14 and Ashe is 15, but also Ashe's ego is a lot bigger, so it makes sense for her to be taller.
Oh yeah, I totally forgot about the dragon in this scene! I wonder why, the dragon was much more awesome than the final form. And it had a much better music, I love it.
Really the details are amazing. Albert's head looks like it needed a ton of layers. I can see how much work you put into this picture, just for me.
Uh oh. "Kot" is a word in German. But sadly, not a nice one. 
When you first told me you were going to draw a picture for the winner of the race, I told you you are an amazing artist. You disagreed with me back then. Now look at what you created! What I didn't know back then though, is how great of a friend you are, too.
I think it makes little sense to make something club-exclusive. Show it off to the world. You have all right to be proud of it.

Kot is a bad word? It's short for Kotona, a name of a Druid I play, so I never really thought anything bad of it. The person who calls me it also is the same one who game me my tablet, so it can't be bad on purpose. Yeah, I think I'll stay in the dark on the meaning behind that one. XD
I'm reminded of when my sister and I where dabbling in Elvish, and found out that Inu which means "dog" in one language, means "girl" in one of the elvish languages. We laughed.
I don't think I could tell you how many layers this baby had because, well I flattened part of the background to make clean up a bit easier. I'm not so sure it kept proper count after that. The cloud work had about 3 layers, most of the details where done on one layer, so I could play with the smudge tool and mix the colors a bit.
I think I'll take a ruff guess at more than 70, probably almost 80.

80 layers? Let me check. My picture with Samus and Ashe took only 35 layers, the Floating Ruins about 20. So wow. Again I'm stunned by the amount of work you put into this.

I'll be honest, it probably amounted to that much because Ashe, Grey, Albert, all got their own set of layers. (In case I decided to move the characters around more after they where colored.) So in the end, to avoid more work, I made more work for myself, if that makes Any sense at all!

Model A sure isn't easy to draw. I know I haven't done one yet, even though half my Gallery has Ashe in it. It's a tough one, but you managed to get them both right!
