Costume I came up with in honor of the upcoming release of metro: last light. still a work in progress. Hope to replace plain vest with tac vest and replace pistol and rifle with revolver and ak-47. If you have any ideas to update the costume please leave what I should do in the comments below.Related content

cool I'm compiling links to stuff on the internet for something like this.
I'm gonna use a
gp5 gas mask (maybe a pmk or pbf)
with some surplus olive drab uniform
some surplus steel helmet and boots
black surplus gloves
and a tac vest with 7 different pouches for 20 bucks

I would say get a AK74, and a revolver. Make the clothes look older and dirty, and that should be about it.

AK-74s are hard to find for low prices, and revolvers can be harder

As Spectrobe12 said, a filter on the gas mask would be nice. Also, the gloves, personally I found the damaged woolen gloves in the initial game more authentic than the other versions.
Other than that it's looking pretty awesome, keep it up!

Perhaps replace the jeans with black cargo/tactical trousers
and get some grime on those cheeks, a little makeup (or mud) can go a long way into making you believe that you've been living in the metro your whole life!

Cargo pants for sure, maybe a more military gas mask? I sport the Israeli military's M-15 or the US military's M-40. Without a proper tac vest I can't really recommend any goodies for that. Some other people mentioned throwing knives, maybe some extra gear pouches on a thigh rig or something?

You may want to try on some dark colored cargo pants. I love my cargo pants for the extra pockets.
