Scene from Touhou Mother , a fangame of Touhou and Earthbound (AKA Mother in Japan), which I am Let's Playing at the moment. You can watch the LP here (shameless self advertising for the win! )

I drew this picture in ten days, as only by that time I realized that the episode containing this scene was coming pretty close. So I actually had to hurry with this picture, as I only have little time to draw, and am a slow artist at that.

I tried to copy the general style of the Earthbound characters as seen in SSBB, explaining the physique of the characters (and also why I shaded like this. Doesn't look all to bad for a first time, right? xD; ).

At first, I wanted to have the main focus on Mima attacking the two heroes, but after reviewing the battlesprite of Mima, I remembered that Mima was rather looking sad instead of fierce or anything like that, so I decided against doing that.

Also, I decided to replace Kourindou by a bit so I can include it into the background, as it was a little empty. And because the perspective looked strange without another object. I don't know why, but it did.
And I know, the background looks bad, no need to tell me.

I guess there was more I wanted to say, but I forgot.
