'Cos I didn't like the name angel island, the floating island is what I first heard it being called and it makes it more mysterious like a myth, anyway to all who know knuckles must know this placeFloating Island (c) of sonicteam and possibly some fleetway since I first heard it's name used in STC.

Nothing against your opinion, but I always thought "The Floating Island" was a really unimaginative name. Sure it's descriptive, but where's the creativity?
Angel Island is a very fitting name, anyway. After all, it resides in the heavens like an angel, and is considered sacred to boot!

Actually, we remember that the floating island thing is in a mytholgy of some sort, but we can't remember which. We know it probably isn't Greek since we've basically covered everything Greek Myth related possible! LOLZ!

I think I read somewhere that it was based on the 1986 film "Laputa: Castle in the Sky". Considering the many similarities between Angel Island and Laputa, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

I call the main island Angel Island, but the whole collection (there are several smaller islands beside it in my fanverse) are called the Floating Islands.
