thanks for the advice, it was kind of a quick pic with flash, and i improvised from square one because just wanted to throw together a scene, so yeah.

Hey man, pretty awesome pic over here. One think that bugs me is the whole shadowy entanglement by the character. Not sure if it's meant to be "part" of the character or anything, but the white lines clash with the character's body outline and boots. I suggest to remove it completely or if you really want it in, change the color of it (I'd suggest purple or something). Also, have the smoke/shadow outlines reach the ends of the page. The type of shadow you drew works best in that manner, where as to a nature (in real life) shadow/smoke would work effectively without an outline.
Another thing you could do for the pics are the cracks in the wall. Try adding thickness to the lines here and there. Varying up the crack thickness will give it depth and make it look more real, where as to the crack style you have would look effective for thinner objects such as a mirror.
Anyway, still a great picture and keep it up!
