E' un vecchio film con Burt Lancaster che racconta la storia vera di un ergastolano il quale dopo aver trovato un piccolo passero nel cortile della prigione durante l'ora d'aria lo alleva a mano, da allora preso dall'amore e dalla passione per gli uccelli finisce per contagiare la prigione e gli altri ergastolani fino a diventare un riconosciuto esperto ornitologo.
il titolo originale è "The birdman of Alcatraz"
