Description Okay, last "deckplanned" out ship I originally made for Traveller, and this one I did make a 3d model of in SketchUp unfortunately I cannot find the model. I made this after The Schrodinger's Cat thinking maybe I could start a new Traveller adventure but it never panned out. The Verne is actually based on the Cat's layout, so both ships are similar however the Verne is much larger than the Cat.

The claws on the top part of the ship were for grappling onto large container pods - the Verne is actually a tug, the ship carried cargo barges on her back.

The Verne was in fact one the first ships I made in SketchUp, at a time when I really didn't know what I was doing or could model out things well, and so I cheated where I could and she's mostly comprised of cannibalized parts I took from other SketchUp models others had done and uploaded to the 3dWarehouse.

The pack includes a render of the Verne, its deckplans .pdf file, and the original Adobe Illustrator file too. I also threw in a render of a planetside base that was going to be in the adventure and a view of the Verne with the Almira, a small mining and prospecting ship (again cannibalized from other 3d models). The characters in the adventure were to meet up with the damaged and crippled Almira in one scene and using some careful piloting skills, grab the ship with the cargo claws before the ship burned up in a planet's atmosphere.

But, we never played the adventure, so it probably would have been exciting.

Great ship and render!  If I ever forget Jules Verne, let my left hand forget it's cunning!
