DESC:

Introduced in 10 AFW, and one of many warships Orion Star Yards (an Orion Spur Alliance company) helped developing this ship for the Resistance and the New Republic, although the ship would be manufactured by CEC and Rothana Heavy Engineering. the Organa-Class Cruiser is a multi-role cruiser named after General Leia Organa. The Organa-Class has a pretty strong armament, with a decent fighter complement. With two main hangars and two secondary hangars the Organa-Class can house shuttles and some bombers as well.

The Organa-Class is the main capital ship of the Resistance Mobile Navy, as these cruisers can act as mobile command centres for small flotillas, meanwhile the Organa-Class is just the standard multi-role cruiser of the New Republic Defence Navy. Often seen patrolling far off sectors, escorting Star Defenders and even acting as flagships of some notable admirals.

During the interwar period, many Organa-Class Cruisers often encountered an increasing amount of Galactic Ascendancy warships near the Mid-Rim, close to the Galactic Ascendancy's territory. Although the presence of these ships was just to deter pirates, sometimes there would be reports of Ascendant ISD-IIIs getting a bit too close for their liking.

When the Second Remnant War began, many organa-Class Cruisers were immediately engaged by Ascenancy ISD-IIIs and their escorts, some not making it at all.
