New York-Class Destroyer:

Introduced to the US Navy in 2810, the New York-Class Destroyer was designed by an ASI named Delta-12, nicknamed 'Bob'. The New York-Class was actually one of the earliest 29th Century USSA warships to have dedicated life support for any organic crews. Turns out this was done in preparation for the changes in the government of the United Space States of America.

The New York-Class is armed with two Single-Barrel Light Railgun Batteries, a Bow-Mounted Medium Railgun, two Heavy Laser Batteries, 24 Missile launcher arrays and 46 PDCs. The addition of heavy laser turrets instead of Space Torpedoes was an unusual design, as most UN nations, particularly those Terran in origin, make use of Multi-Munitions Space Torpedo Launchers. The New York-Class makes use of its large lasers to eliminate enemy targets from far away, while enemy space torpedoes are intercepted by the CIWS and Laser PDCs. This has allowed the New York-Class to engage larger warships with ease, but leading it to have difficulty with smaller craft such as Corvettes, because Space Torpedoes can pull high G-force turns and manoeuvres.

The New York-Class can carry 12 shuttles, 20 Spacefighters and 10 bombercraft. A crew of 40 is needed, and usually has a complement of 50 troops.

M90-Endeavor Heavy Shuttle:

A recent addition to the USSA's arsenal, the M90-Endeavor Heavy Shuttle, named after the 20th century space shuttle Endeavor, is the USSA's main heavy transport. Used to transport small mechs, tanks, IFVs, APCs and supplies to bases and engagement zones. Although only with 12 concealable CIWS turrets, the M90-Endeavor is heavily armoured and is equipped with a short-range Jump drive. It can also carry two Spacefighters in dorsal bay.
