The T56-Puma Spacefighter's development started in the early 2710s and suffered almost a full century of development. The early Orion Arm Republic wanted to replace the countless left over Zar Yun fighters and the LB3-Vertico space-only Spacefighters they managed to buy from Herald Universal Designs.

When the T56-Puma was finally introduced to the wider public in the 2810s, The T56-Puma was, and still is one of the most advanced spacefighters in the United Nations. Armed with a dorsal missile launcher bay, two laser emitters and a bow-mounted 100mm railgun. The T56-Puma is also equipped with a small ventral bomb bay that can carry up to 500kg bombs, as the missiles are kept in the top bay.

The T56-Puma can be equipped with an ASI Core for automated flight, however they would have to replace the cockpit, luckily the cockpit can be removed as it was designed to act as an escape pod in emergencies. The T56-Puma served as the base template for the MX350-Wasp Spacefighter in the 2830s and 2840s.
