Description A request for Oldetownecoffee [link] . And probably one of the most enjoyable Syndrome pictures I've drawn in a while!

It started with:

"What are the chances I can beg a drawing of Syndrome from you? About 8-10 years older after the movie and having a cybernetic arm?"

And things just kind of flowed from there.

Specifications were a little vague, so I just worked with my gut and made the most of the situation. I'm guess-timating that in the move he's anywhere from 23 to 25, so this is aimed at him being around 33 to 35. If he seems a little young, I blame it on the fact that I have a lot of friends in their thirties that look good for their age. *shrugs*

The hardest part, and the part that took the longest amount of time, actually, was choosing what he would wear. Because I didn't want to get in the way of the sensors on his chest (which I freaking love). But I didn't think him walking around either bare-chested or in a skin-tight super-suit would fly well, the way things were going.

Still! All problems aside, that was freaking awesome. I used about a billion filters on his arm alone, and that's not to mention all the fun I had with blending options.

And I can honestly say that when it comes to either painting for six plus hours or digitally coloring something that I've illustrated for six plus hours, I enjoy the later more.

Especially when it involves Syndrome. (Syndrome belongs to the BigMouse and the HoppingLamp upstairs.) Created in Photoshop CS.

That's what I was thinking! I mean, if you have to have a fake limb, why not have one that is awesome...and possibly has explosives hidden within it. XD

WOW!!!! Jeez sis, you got used to coloring things quickly.... and a very well done job, I must say. I love the metalic-look on his arm and you did the shadows well. I really like the warm vs cool as well.

I see you had a lot of fun with effects *laughs* XD

Oooooh! I totally had a fun time with the effects. And I'm happy with how the arm came out as well, in addition to the value and color contrast. *hugs photoshop*

Like how the colors turned out. Not just the arm but the whole thing. But the arm is really awesome!

Thank you, thank you my friend. I have to agree with you--the whole thing turned out wonderfully, but my favorite part has got to be the arm. =^__^=

I really like the blue microchip texture right at the arm. It must of been fun filtering that.

It actually really was. I'm not sure if I can create something like that again, though. And at first I really hated it, until I worked on it some more until it became the way it is now.

OHHHHH MAN.

If this is not the most PWNSOME thing I have seen all day, I'm lying. XD Reminds me of the cybernetic arm Crispy drew. Only this is in color. I wish I could draw robotic arms. *laughs*

, totally.

It was FREAKING awesome to draw! It was like my brain went, "hmm. I wonder what this 'Robotic' switch does. Holy crap!" XD Yeah. It was awesome.

And actually not that hard to draw, outside of the actual coloring. I drew a basic arm first, then cut things down to their simple shapes (cylinder, sphere, etcetera), and then played with attatched pieces. It was like doing an autopsy on his arm, using the skeleton as a base!

Man, I'm such a freak. *shakes head and laughs*
