I'm glad I finished it all before it was too late, then. I made sure to look over all of your entries when I was done and by golly I must admit that they're amazing! I can only imagine how much time that had to have taken. You set the mood really well with just the intro and the slight hints to the story (a burned tree, eh...) make me want to see how it'll continue. The character expressions are adorable and you did really well pulling out both of their personalities! I love how you played on Ada's naivety, especially, and how it takes her a while to figure out that there really is something odd about what's going on. *laughs*

To be honest, I have a feeling that you'll win this round mostly because everything in your work is well balanced and you really managed to polish all of the key areas. Even so I won't regret losing. It was wonderful being able to go against such a skilled artist like yourself! It helped me to push my boundries a little and I've discovered a lot about comicking (both the enjoyable parts and the stressful parts) that I didn't know about before. We won't know who will win until the judging ends, though, so I'll still be keeping my fingers crossed~

Okay, gonna be honest: I've been looking at your comments all week and haven't replied... because I don't want to delete them. So no, I'm not just ignoring you to be a jerk--you just wrote some super lovely words that I'm not sure how to respond to! Each one is so thoughtful, thank you so much. I'm delighted you liked my entry, and I'm also glad you finished up yours! It's very sweet, and it's something else that you were able to bust it out within such a short time. I'm also totally diggin' the way you took Ada and Jeb's monsterfictation, it kinda leaves us hanging around and hoping for more. c:

Ummm... well... I guess the biggest things is that Ada is very polite especially after working in the waitressing business for so long. Ada's only as loud as she needs to be and the girl isn't easily offended (she's been insulted all her life by family calling her "dumb" so she's a tough cookie) but she's very protective of others. Another thing about her personality that didn't really make it in is that she secretly still believes in childish things like "ghosts" and "fairies".

Since we're on the topic I have a few questions of my own about Jeb like what his childhood was like and what kind of town did he grow up in? I understand his general personality but are there specific things he does and says that you might want to ellaborate on?

As for Jeb...he had a pretty typical childhood in a small town with a biiiiig family. He spent most of his time reading and playing by himself and making up fantasy worlds. He's got a good imagination because of it, but promised himself that he'd try and spend more time with people in college. So he tries to be friendly and start conversations with people, even if he's a bit nervous! I think he'd probably get along really well with Ada. As far as speaking is concerned, he'll 'um' more than most people and uses a lot of contractions, like 'gonna' instead of 'going to'.

Feel free to mess around with that as much as you want, I'm trying to keep him a very easy character for people to play with! And of course I'm totally open to answer more questions if you need it.
