why you guys never learn to release high-res material?
this costs a lot of atmosphere from this MARVELLOUS pic!!

I'm glad you like the photo.

About posting high-res material... I've learned from other people's mistakes. People post high res photos and then someone else steals them and either claims they are their own or I've even known of cases where people's works were stolen for book covers.

hmm okay
I'm working for the worlds first s.t.a.l.k.e.r. community, we're fanatics for industrial areas and this halls shown in your picture.
I would re-edit your pic with additional effects and showin it up like an game-screenshot out of the game.

As example, like this one:

I don't know if I feel comfortable with this... What would it be used for?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

o-l-pixel In reply to Shalora [2006-09-30 11:42:42 +0000 UTC]

It would be simply used as an background for an calendary.
It doesnt care how the picture itself looks, as i said, we re-edit the pics till they look like an screenshot out of the game.

Not usually accessible... someone has been looking at inflitration.org havent they. as this is listed there. I wish I had some places like this here in ottawa. Ahh I guess i should keep searching.

As from a photographic standpoint There is somethign I absolutely love about this photo and think makes it click, and that is the photographer's camera is alligned almost perfectly with the rays of light coming through the window..now with that said, How does one get those rays of light to show up when you take a photo, I have tried to get the same effect on my Canon s1 1s for a while with only one success and that was looking directly at the sun.

Oh and :fav:

Shalora In reply to machine-gunner [2006-06-06 21:33:18 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much for the comment!

I actually used to be a member of infiltration.org through its sister-site uer.ca. I discovered this place originally thanks to one of the members from that site who I ended up dating for a little while. Actually, he now lives in Ottawa and explores there, so I can guarantee you that there are some interesting locations in the area.

At the Brickworks, there are holes in the celing that the sun shines through to create these rays of light as it passes through the dust. It's one of the wonderful phenomenas of the place.

this is a fantastic image, i really like the warping thats happening here -- what kind of lens were you using?
great angle you chose to shoot the scene with -- it would be nice if the window and floor on the right weren't so blown out, but its quite good nontheless.

well done

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Shalora In reply to eiknop [2006-05-30 22:28:55 +0000 UTC]

I used a 15mm fisheye lense.

Unfortunately, I had no control over the fact that the window and door on the right were blown out. I was exposing for the very dark building.

eiknop In reply to Shalora [2006-05-30 22:50:36 +0000 UTC]

it's still very well done. perhaps shooting at a different time of day while the sun is sitll up but on the other side of the building?
