Description Like all watercolours, pls FULL VIEW, you'll miss out if you don't!

Watercolour, A3

Suggestive rendering.

A really pale and insipid area, this was the only tree for 20 miles either way.

You used a wet on wet technique? This is very beautiful. What brand of paper did you use? Is it hot or cold press? Also, the colors that you got are so vibrant, what brand of watercolors do you use? Sorry for all the questions. *bowing I'm not worthy of such eye candy.

Hey there! Thank you very much Yeah, it's wet on (very) wet . The paper was Saunders Waterford 300g (cold pressed). I used Winsor & Newton (Cotman) watercolour. I tend to use my paint undiluted (with only a little water on the brush but a lot on the canvas), which gives the intense colour. I hope this helps!

In your opinion, cold press is better than hot press? Do you prewet the entire canvas or just the part that you're working on before using the paintbrush with the undiluted watercolor?

I don't know if i think cold press is better than hot press. I was trained using cold pressed so i tend to use it more often. Yep, i prewet the whole canvas and then i let it sit (letting the paper soak up the water) for a while depending on the effect i want. I you are doing things like skies, where you want max. blending en bleeding, let the canvas rest for only a few seconds.
