My personal proudest and favorite pieces of this year. C: Some of these are in queue and have yet to be uploaded here! OR they may already be on my Twitter and Instagram!

1. The Color of Smoke - An animatic for Sybal-Heim , starring my character Hidayat Ghazi as he tries to escape the tumultuous fires of the market riots and featuring the masterful music of Adam Young Scores. This was one of the most ambitious projects that I somehow managed to just barely finish in time! Being an amateur storyboard artist, I had to really hustle against the holiday clock while absorbing screen design video essays and tips. I am still very proud and impressed of how it turned out.

2. Blossom Detective Holmes - A bit of fanart for the titular clips that came out this year! I was super excited to see what Steve Ahn (who worked on Voltron: Legendary Defender) was cooking up on the side, and was just delighted at this fun new concept of the infamous detective! Really had fun painting this piece and learning how to simplify the colors and designs into shapes, which is sometimes I often struggle with.

3. Kamitsure - A two-part comic for the now defunct Dulcedomum-Redux. This was another majorly ambitious project for this year. In fact, there were times where I was too hesitant to finish it, because it was a very personal writing. But strenuous as it was, I really enjoyed the process of planning and experimenting with the look of the final product and its color scheme. I could not be more grateful for the never-ending support of my friends who continued to support and encourage me to do what I love.

4. Hazbin Hotel - ALASTOR IS BEST BOI

5. MerCliose - Aw gross, it's Cliose. This was a design for MerMay during my down time, and I really quite enjoyed designing his serpentine look and testing out some watercolory effects! I'd love to revisit this look again. After I'm done barfing from that smug grin.

6. Oh yeah, I forgot to upload this one. This can be seen on my IG or Twitter !

7. Inktober2018 - Aw great, it's Cliose again. This time as the skeevy wolf he is! Another down-time piece (I'm seeing a pattern here...) from Inktober! Played with this one with some inspiration from one of my favorite illustrators ever, Quentin Blake. Been really getting into washi art this year and hoping to do some more with it!

8. Cartoon All-Stars Re-Animate - TO BE RELEASED VERY VERY SOON HEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEH

9. ??? - GDI CLIOSE WHY ARE YOU MY DOWN-TIME MUSE. I actually started this one from April but due to life circumstances and moving to my new job, I didn't get to finish until recently. More details to come as it will be uploaded very soon!

2018 has been amazing for me, and a huge step-up since the last year. I left old friendships and sparked new ones with amazing creative folks. I delved headfirst into storytelling and churned out a full animatic AND a comic ! Recently, I completed an animated shot for a very special Re-Animate collab coming out very soon! And speaking of which, I nailed a job as an FX animator in Canada! It's been a wild ride full of ups and downs. No doubt 2019 will be the same kind of ride, but this time we'll be stronger to tackle back!

Thanks so much to everyone for sticking with me throughout the years. I'm a lot more active on my IG and Twitter, both where I gravitate towards more instead of devART. You'll find more frequent posts on those two, including sketches and finished work!
