Testing out a few outfits for Weiss in RWBY because although the outfits look nice in recent volumes for the official art... I do not like the 3d models of it. Also I have a few issues with the outfits because 1. some of the acessories are a bit too much.. 2. Weiss outfit does not seem practical for combat! How do you fight in that big dress? 3. The character don't seem to represent their colors as much anymore.. So did some designs myself to see what works!Related content

All great concepts. I like the one on the far right the most, since I think it would be a good concept dress for her as the SDC CEO.

So her dress isn't practical, but heels are?
She certainly hasn't had a problem so far. Her fighting style isn't hugely acrobatic, so I don't see an issue.

Her fighting style was very acrobatic in the first 3 volumes... She was able to do flips and cartwheels a big poofy dress is gonna cause more a problem then boots. ALso what are you talking about? The shoes I designed are not full on stilettos.

just for kicks, i googled government issued army boots and found on that had a heel of 1.77 inches, so i'm sure weiss would be fine lol

And have you seen how she fights lately? She's not doing flips etc as much. Also, Atlas is cold, so covering more makes sense. And actually, depending on how flowing the dress is, it might be just fine. In Stsr Wars, Ventress and Luminara Unduli fought wearing dresses.

Theyre not. I specifically made em closer to boots than high heels. If they were stilettos than that would be an issue. The soles are not that high and yes Atlas is cold but the dress shows quite a but of skin on her legs that is not gonna help much when it comes to warming her for winter. Just because two characters can fight in a dress doess not mean that can actually work in real life. Luminara has a dress that reaches beyond the feet same goes for Ventress. The dress examples you gave will get in the way if you try to fight especially if you go for a lunge. Also recent volumes Weiss doesn't do flips as much but she still needs to move properly. Yeah she doesn't do flips any more cause the nerfed her a bunch. Still she needs to be able to move with little constrictions.Β
