Hi Shane,
I was wondering if I could get your permission to use this art for an SRV Memorial Stratocaster I am designing for the Fender Custom Shop. Β It's just in the concept and design stage at the moment, it has a couple hurdles to clear, approval by the Custom Shop and Stevie's brother Jimmie. Β I'm crossing my fingers that they both like it.

not sure, i did alot reaserch for it, so its either out of f one of his cd booklets, vinyl album inserts, or off like a google image search or corbis or something.

I used a refrence for the origanol sketch, then i scanned it and inked it in photoshop (not the same way i do your pieces). Originally there were lots of shades of grey but it didnt look that great so i simplified it down to just black and white.

i always loved pictures that had that black white contrast. my favorite spot is the fringes, you did them with such realism! maybe it's me but it feels like there should be highlights on the hat. oh well it's probably me

illustartor would be a good guess, and ill probly end up vectoring it someday, but actuallly it was jst the brush tool and fill command in photoshop. nothin too time consuming.
