Probably because most vectors have nowhere near this level of detail, it looks fantastic, how long have you been creating vector art?
I'm trying to get into using both Illustrator and Flash MX but i hate learning new programs because i'm so damn lazy.

Sorry for the late reply, I don't get on DA much since college has started! This is actually my first full vector. I start in January and finished in like, May. Well, I started for a few days, and stopped for a few months, and resumed in May haha. Inbetween, I messed around with the tools in Illustrator but didn't really make any full vectors. So this is my first, and my last so far. Just haven't found time or inspiration to do another one of these! They're like black holes for time.

Haha, you have the same sort of work ethic as me, start strong, get distracted, find the file three months later in the hard drive and maybe get round to finishing it

hmm... it wil get faster for you if you do this again. Everytime i try to do something new.. it takes me a while to experiment and study it.. the next time I do it... it just gets faster and faster.
