Description This is one of those times when I really wish I had a better camera. I tried taking the picture with flash first, and it turned out horribly. I had to do it without flash. But without flash, my stupid camera requires that you hold it PERFECTLY still. Otherwise, it blurs.

So. *sigh* Blurry pic it is. Will keep trying to get a better pictures.

Added 2 mini flower pots, and FINALLY got around to purchasing that florescent light hood.

Loving it! And so are my fish. Hehe.

Once my cories get a big bigger, I think I'm going to take out the dividers, move the males to a divided 10 Gal. Can't wait to set up another tank! Anyone have any suggestions on how I can improve this set-up?

Actually, I had a lot more. But then my mom was like, NO. So I found them good homes. LOL. It really surprising how many people are like... WOW, FISH! I'll care for it! But rarely anyone wants to care for rats.

Seriously awesome And I know how hard it is to take tank pics I hands always shake so its so hard to take a decent non-flash picture

Do you want ideas on how to improve the look of the setup or comment on how to improve how it works? ... sorry if that made no sense.. so tired...

Okay
Well at the moment its not very appealing to the eyes, it looks like everything was chucked in there The 'moss on driftwood'.. I think thats what it is, in the males sections, look really messy and taking up a lot of room, try having smaller plants or driftwood in there As with the girls section, I quite like it Though the ambulia is it? would look a lot better planted at the back of the tank rather than floating
As for the design, I like it too I use a very similar one in my tanks

Thanks for the comments.

To be honest... I'm a complete NEWB with plants. The moss on driftwood is COVERED in algae... which... I don't know how to get rid of >.< *sad face*. I've seen people tie moss to driftwood, and it looks so NEAT. What sort of small plants were you thinking? I was thinking maybe just a java fern or 2 tied to where it dips down?

It LOOKs crowded, cause it's from the front... but from the side... it actually looks kinda small. LOL. I'll have to take a better pic.

The stuff drifting around is actually "hornwort", and I haven't been able to "plant it" without the planted section dying on me. I ... actually can't get any of the sections to form roots. So... Sigh.

I was thinking of switching it all out for cambomba (sp) instead. I seem to be having a LOT of success with that.

I'll take an updated pic, and get your opinion on that ^_^

Sorry for late reply

Ahhh algae Thats no fun Maybe just scrub the driftwood with something to get all the algae off? (nothing thats touched soap though...) Im really not sure how to get rid of it

Im also a plant-n00b, I tend to kill everything too easy... java moss and java fern are brilliant though Very hard to kill and look nice also anubia is great

Id love to see another pic I like seeing tank pics

I do like your idea. Its functional and appealing to the eye. Plenty of colors and movement. All the bettas are happy and that's what counts.

Actually... I made those dividers myself. The one on the left actually looks like it needs a little fixing >.<

You can make them extremely easily (and for a very low price)! You just need plastic sewing canvas that you can get at any craft store (I got mine at Micheal's) and some project folder spines (I got mine at Staples). You cut the sewing canvas to size, slide them into the spines... and voila!

I believe there's a website where they give more specific instructions. I'm fairly sure I just googled "how to make your own aquarium dividers"

Good luck!

I think so!!! New-born fry are TINY! So I'm actually pretty positive they would swim right through the little holes in the canvas
