Steph was feeling really good in the aftermath of her successful showing against Kaitlyn to kick off the first ever Muscle Tussle Tournament.

Kaitlyn had proven to be a formidable challenge, but it was one that Steph had been able to overcome … and she had looked really, really good while doing it. She had heard the cheers (and the boos for that matter), seen the flashbulbs - she’d made an impression. And that had been her plan all along.

And she’d definitely made an impression on Kaitlyn.

“STEPH!”

She paused upon hearing her name, and turned to find Shanna rushing up to her, her cheeks flushed with excitement, her eyes bright.

“Oh, my goodness, Steph,” Shanna continued. “That was terrific. Just terrific! I was hoping that the first match of the tournament would be something that could grab the attention of the audience and suck them right in, and did you ever deliver that in spades!”

“Well, I was pretty terrific,” Steph purred.

“You can say that again,” Shanna said. “I knew this first match was going to be full of fantastic action … I just knew it. I’d seen you and Kaitlyn around, and I was sure the two of you would put on a first-class match with some sizzling hot action!”

“Yeah?” Steph replied, moving a step or two closer and flashing a wicked smile. “Exactly how hot did you think it was?”

“Oh! Well. Let me tell you!!!!” Shanna was starting to get worked up. “It was just about everything that I could have hoped for in terms of turning up the heat and getting things started off on a ….”

Shanna paused upon realizing Steph was practically leering at her.

“Oh, come on, Steph!!!!”

Steph burst out laughing in response and then stepped back to flex her impressive biceps for the current Public Relations Officer of the Muscle Tussle Division. “You like what you see. Don’t even bother to deny it.”

Shanna was blushing the tiniest bit now, and struggled to get through the feeling of being flustered by Steph’s bold approach to flirtation.

Then … a lifeline of sorts.

“Shanna? Can I see you for a moment?”

Corrie’s voice floated down the hallway, her office door slightly ajar.

Steph’s demeanor changed - if only slightly - and she backed off with a final smile and a wink in Shanna’s direction, before turning to head out into the night and celebrate her big win.

Shanna watched her leave, and then turned and hurried in the direction of Corrie’s office.

“Coming, boss!”
