Not original (I know), but I love Zack and wanted so bad to draw him. I loved how he held on even as everything started to crumble around him. He was so young and full of dreams and confidence. His spirited nature made him so freak’n adorable. One of the reasons Crisis Core was such an awesome game (but soooo sad). He held on to his beliefs to the very end.

This was supposed to be an exercise in painting what I see, but I started to change things anyway (like aging the armor). His face was mostly in shadow anyway and I wanted to pull out his features. I think I’ll work on a pencil version next.
