Description Stormtroopers patrol the seedier side of down during a military occupation as TIE Fighters roar overhead to intercept craft entering a no-fly zone.

Rendered in 3Ds Max 3.1, Stormtroopers from ravenwing75's props on a Michael 2 base.

The TIE Fighters I've sadly lost the original information on. I'd love to credit the guy, they're good models. I've also lost the information for the speeder on the left. I think the speeder-bike on the right was made by my husband though.

The building, fence, street, and the lamp posts are all self-made in this scene.

This was rendered for a Hammer's Fist graphics competition.

Thanks so much. I made it using 3ds Max and Poser, then did a little post-render editing in Photoshop to help really grime it up to give it the feel I was after

Well... she's not too sure of his motives... she's technically not supposed to be dressed so 'rovocatively' and being paid in exchange for her 'services'.

Stormies have motives?
Oh, yeah, I forgot...
- "Hey, wanna buy some death sticks?"
- "You don't want to sell me death sticks."
- "I don't wanna sell you death sticks."
- "You want do go home and rethink your life."
- "I wanna go home and rethink my life."
- Nice roleplaying...
- "You want to leave your death sticks with me."
- "I wanna leave my death sticks with you."
- "Anybody want to buy some death sticks?"
- Hey!

roflmao! Sounds like the typical stormtroopers in the roleplaying groups I play with.

How about this:
Rebels are followed by Stormtroopers, coming to a closed door. Stormies corner them and fire away. Not hitting anything. The rebels hack the door controls and shoot four troopers, before escaping and closing the door.
Joe (after getting hit in the leg, and falling down): "Ah! A little help?"
Trooper2: "Sergeant, Joe's... talking."
Trooper1: "But... Joe's dead..."
Joe: "I'm not dead!"
Trooper2: "He say's he's not dead."
Sergeant: "You're not dead?"
Joe: "No."
Sergeant: "Are you sure?"
Joe: "Yeah! I got hit in the leg, I'm wounded, that's all."
Sergeant (confused): "Wounded?"
Joe: "Yeah, you know... Hit, but not fatally?"
Sergeant (mulling it over): "Are you sure you're not dead?"
Joe: "Yes! Just wounded!"
Trooper2: "Has that ever happened before?"
Sergeant: "Not that I'm aware of."
Trooper1: "What do we do?"
Joe: "Well, you could help me?"
Trooper2: "I don't know, is that in Stormtrooper Manual?"
Trooper1: "I thought this suit was designed to make sure you were dead you got hit."
Sergeant looks at Trooper1
Trooper1: "Why else would we wear 'em?"
Sergeant (processing the information): "You sure you're not dead?"
Joe: "Yes!"
Trooper2: "Well, what do we do?"
Trooper1: "Should we kill him?"
Trooper2: "Sounds resonable."
Joe: "WHAT?!"
Sergeant: "No, no, no, no, no! We can't kill our own men! We don't have the clearance"
Joe (trying to stand up): "No, no, no! It's okay! It's not that bad! I'll work out!" (pulling himself into a kneeling position) "See? No problem! Good as new, nothing to worry about!"
Rebel comes back and shoots Joe in the chest, effectively killing him
Joe (falling down again): "Aaaaaaaahhhh! Oh, my!"
Sergeant looks surprised at Joe, then the door. The Troopers look at the Sergeant. Sergeant looks at the Troopers, studying their dead (this time for sure) mate.
Sergeant: "So... You've seen the new VT-16?"

Now, that's what happens if you ignore Rule #17: Always make sure they're dead."

Sounds about right.
My gaming group always follows Rule #17. Fortunately, the enemy hasn't... yet. I've got two Clones who've been wounded in every session so far. I've been keeping track. Poor guys need a medal for that!

Colonel-Azzameen In reply to shannor [2009-05-09 20:56:39 +0000 UTC]

I remember that the Brits had a medal like that...
Oh, what was it called...

Can't remember, oh well.

If you think the transcript is funny, go to youtube and search for Injured Stormtrooper.
You can really see the tiny weels working behind the sergeant's helmet.

I can't recall the name of the medal either, I've never spoken to anyone who received one, despite both grandfathers having fought in World War 2.

Poor guy in front's missin' an arm. Doesn't stop me from feeling like I should be hiding though, something about this just makes me feel like I'm there, and I love it. Favourited!

Now that you've pointed it out, I can now see that it does look like the poor CO is missing an arm. Poor choice of angle on my part

Thanks so much. I really enjoyed making this scene, and the atmosphere was one of the hardest things for me to do. I'm still a relative newbie to 3D rendering, and your compliment on the piece is very encouraging
