Oh, she's great! Princess isn't getting enough love, it seems...
Is the background supposed to resemble anything? Benzene or something?

Didn't have anything in mind while doing the bg, just trying to avoid doing so many transparent images ;u;

One skill I would give my eyeteeth for is those artists like Meesh who can insert a flat pastel color card behind their art and suddenly every color harmonizes and it doesn't look flat at all. (I can't even bear that, usually my flat color backgrounds are actually really subtle gradients overlaid...)

YEAH YUNNO THATS FUCKIN TRUE. Meesh's colors do work insanely well together for everything being so simple. Im sure they actually alter the color of the characters to fit so nicely with the backgrounds, but i'll have to go peek at their work again. I definitely need to learn to keep it simple!

I'm fairly certain he does a lot with transparencies... and tailors every color to his background, since they all look custom. It speaks to someone with a great knowledge of color harmony...
You know something I've wondered? Some of the visdev stuff coming out of that new Disney project, "Zootopia," looks a lot like his stuff. He is up there with the most well-known furry artists, and Disney does sometimes put new hires under a code of silence, and he is already an Angeleno, and animators do have among the highest concentration of furries in any job, I'd bet...

Ahaha maybe! They were doing a big call for artists recently. I'd like to imagine most furry artists have a non-furry portfolio somewhere that they get professional work with.. XD SOOO many talented folks on that site, why wouldn't they!

I'll be looking hard at the credits. (My dad had Carter Goodrich do his book covers, so learning that he designed figures for animation was a complete shock to him, I'll always think of the look on his face when I look through credits for specific artists x3 Sort of like learning that Michael Gagne animated the blue fire fairy things for "Brave" - they don't advertise the celebrity cameos if no one knows who they are. And I heard there's one furry artist who had a comic in "Flight," but I haven't been able to find his stuff yet. Furries are hard to find outside their name!)
If he didn't audition, I'm certain some junior animator tried to find a way to subtly suggest hiring him.
Oh come now, that's damn near all of them probably have non-furry portfolios. Except maybe the "specialists," like Jay Naylor or Rorschfox or something, whose talents are too limited to find professional work outside their fanbase... there's a difference between the folks who are artists who draw furries, and artists whose thing is furries. It's a human fallacy to think of doing the thing they do well as their thing, right?
