This picture never gets old every time I look at it. Thanks you for making it.
Also, my bet is on a draw that ends up with Negi getting adopted by Fate (not that one).

oh you want negi to be "adopted by fate"
You could say, negi is already a "child of fate"
(sorry, couldn't resist)

Negi Springfield vs Nanoha Takamichi
Thunder God Negi vs Ace of Aces
Titan Slayer vs Starlight Breaker
Well Negi is practically a Half Immortal so pretty much Negi wins

Ever notice how the spell circle for 'Circuli Absorptonis' pops up UNDER Negi with a huge AoE? I'm not saying he can absorb power from anything that happens to land inside of it, but he DID try to use it against a large-AoE spell like 'Kosmike Catastrophe.' Which he absorbed, and then sneezed out. Which, of course, brings me to 'Flans Exarmatio.' How is Nanoha without her robe armour?
'Raiten Sousou' also means Negi's not sitting still for a 5-multi directional 'Starlight Breaker.' Nor is 'Titan Slayer' at its maximum at the stage in which this picture shows it, as he can also infuse it with his favourite standby spell: Jovis Tempestas Fulguriens.
Negi also possesses extremely-high regeneration. The friendship would be the best solution, just so he doesn't have to deal with (another) Fate. Hmm, Fate A vs Fate T?

*Somewhere up to half an hour later, at least...*
*A shaking hand reaches out of the debris, adorned in torn up black clothing, slowly meeting and joining with another hand, which is adorned in similarly damaged white and blue clothing*
???: "Hi...I'm..-*ouch*-Negi...Springfield....I'm a...-*twitch*-mage teacher who uses his powers-*spasm of pain*-to protect his precious students and Ministra partners."
??? #2: Nice to-*owww*-meet you,-*wince*- Negi-san... I'm...Takamachi Nanoha...I'm a mage and-*itai*-special agent, who uses her powers to defend the world and her precious friends from danger."
Negi: "That's amazing, Nanoha-san! Would you like to be friends?"
Nanoha: "Yes! I'd like that a lot, Negi-san!"
*And with that, the two most destructive child-mages in history shook hands, sealing their now eternal friendship amid the terrible destruction their battle had wrought. God help us all...*

not because of this battle, but because these two live by "defeat means friendship" adding negi's natural gigolo we can expect many, MANY children from him and nanoha. leading to the end of the world as we know it

Negi's Titantonkon is designated to slay the likes of Jack Rakan himself and is powered up By Light and Darkness magic, though the attack has neither of those elements included on its composition. It can pierce barriers, cause one mother of explosions and the lance STILL remains impalled on whatever it impacted, still shocking the opponent. Let us not forget that it is made of 10 Thousand Bolts of Lightning.
Can someone please describe Nanoha's Starlight Breaker more accurately? All that I have seen from that attack is just a straight out laser flash of raw energy with high impact damage and a large explosion ratio. If this is everything it is, Negi wins over hands down.

I'm not really sure about the specifics of Starlight Breaker myself, but all I'm saying is, Nanoha being Nanoha, the outcome is unpredictable. I always thought of her sort of the same way as Jack Rakan (and we all know that he's frighteningly powerful). After all, the girl makes most of her friends by beating the crap out of them.
Besides, why're you getting so defensive? I had said in the first place that I was backing Negi, did I not?

NightDranzer In reply to mopomoko [2010-03-04 11:55:43 +0000 UTC]

I was thinking that when Nanoha goes Against Asuna, Starlight Breaker can just kiss it's @$$ goodbye as well as Nanoha's chances of victory....... unless Nanoha knows hand-to-hand and/or sword combat.

mopomoko In reply to NightDranzer [2010-03-07 20:24:06 +0000 UTC]
Yup. But then again, it's been shown that high level stuff can affect Asuna for a short while, before they wear off (like when Evangeline encased her in a block of ice. It took her a few minutes to get out, when anyone else would've been stuck there for the rest of their life).
Then again, Asuna's not even really up to Negi's level, and he and Nanoha may or may not be about equal.

Starlight Breaker's an odd spell, by the standards of the Nanoha-verse. Rather than Nanoha simply using her own power, (although she does do that, as well as using cartridges: Basically capsules of highly compressed magic) it sucks in ambient magic, so depending on how long the battle's been going for, and how much power has been used, it can become become obscenely powerful.
Considering these two... If they've just been fighting each other with everything they had... I'd be willing to bet that Starlight Breaker would win. I mean, I know how obscenely strong Negi is. But Starlight breaker is kinda like Magia Erebea. The more powerful your enemy, the bigger the boom.

well Nanoha is super strong, but Negi isn't weak either, and if he use that magic absorbing circle then she's on the lose

Yes but think about it...
how much difference is Rakan's attack compared to Nanoha's Starlight Breaker...
And even if Negi could absorb ONE SLB...
Can he absorb 5 of them at the same time?
from different angles?
