Hehe, I'm so obsessed. X) Megamind and Roxanne, they are just precious!Sooooo, before the movie came out, I decided to watch a few other movies with Will Ferrel that wern't totally inappropriate. One of the movies I watched was Stranger than Fiction. It was so much better than I remembered! There was this cute line where the main character was saying, "I want you." To the girl he was asking out....so yeah that's how I came up with the title! XD

I know I'm actually not a huge fan of Will Ferrell, but I agree that Stranger than Fiction was one of his better ones. I let him slide in the Producers because it's Mel Brooks to expect anything else would be foolish.

Megamind made me think of Stranger Than Fiction, oddly enough.
The whole protagonist being that sort who's awkward with the everyday things that most people know by pure instinct, falling for the girl that's miles ahead of him in some ways but also brings out the good in him, and all the odd things about him being very endearing and adorable.
They even both love their rock music

I loved Stranger Than Fiction. Definitely my favorite Will Ferrel movie (other than MegaMind). My favorite part was when he brought the girl "Flours." How romantic!
Now back to MegaMind. This couple is so precious. The part where they're in the rain and she asks if he ever thought she'd want to be with him, the look on his face and the sad, quiet way he said, "no." Oh, my heart broke.
But when they were in the van and he was like, "...the night you dumped me. Alone. In the rain." It was cute and just humorous enough to make it less sad.

Stranger Than Fiction is one of the few Will Ferrel movies that I actually like. Usually, the ones he does that are geared for adults are filled with the stupid humor, which I don't really like.
Megamind, on the other hand...
I actually just got back from seeing it... My three friends and I were the only people over ten in the theater who did not come with small children...

That is very cool. I bet watching a masterpiece come together bit by bit must be very exciting. I've always wanted to be in the back of creating something epic, even if I'm only a small part of it, just because forming something incredible must come with a phenomenal feeling. Did your uncle ever impart to you his feelings while working on it? His sense of pride or frustration at one part or another?
