Description Custommade sword that stand out abit from the standars Houseguards swords, to show the wielders legiance to Selvetarm (One of two swords, the other dedicated to Lolth). Also alittle more "brutal" than the rest to match the users fightingstyle (Zress'Thalak). Green gemstones tell of rank and house belongings (Elend'Sutrinos of house Zau Nihl'lu'Szin).

Made out of leather, leatex, cellplastics, fibreglass and glue

What exactly do you mean by "cell plastics" are you referring to closed cell foam?

I started discussing how steel weapons are more fun, then we moved onto why I think that. The "nightvision goggles" bit arose from the acronym for the New Varangian Guard; NVG.

Depends on your training, plus the major difference is that my fighting is with blunt steel weapons as I do reenactment.

Yup, I've tried both reenactment and SCA-fighting and both require all participating parts to be ready for fighting at all times (if the entire fight is not made up), and so no ambushes, assasinations or unexpected "voilence" is possible. And as you need quite thick and safe armors for both SCA and reenactment (if the fight is not rehersedthat didn't really work for us playing drow

That is true at times but I don't do SCA, the group I'm in is the New Varangian Guard (www.nvg.org.au). Plus from what I've read with the SCA, compared to NVG, NVG is better at times as it's a set time period, but there's a lot of history with it and we look more organised instead of people looking like Vikings from the Dark Ages at one end and the rest looking like 14th Century Knights. Still, it's all a matter of personal preference.

Well, since SCA is only about the contests and firghters there is rarely a historical base to it. Never heard of NVG (If you aren't talking about nightvision goggles) but is sounds like a standard reenacment group Cheers!

Wha are we discussing here? If Nightvision goggles are better than regular larping?

What kind of material is fibreglass? How durable is it compared to metal?

Very durable plastic material Does not form like metal, but bends great.
(btw, if you are thinking about having any kind of metal built into a larpweapon, please reconsider)

Cause most drow do not flaunt with their worshipping to gods other than the spiderqueen, as chanses are they are to be procecuted for heracy against the one true goddess if they do. Therefore this blade carries only a small Salvetarm mark on both sides of the blade, and small "engraved" frases stating glory to Salvetarm

This is the second time I've seen you mention "Zress'Thalak", IIRC...Is this an real, existing fighting style?
