Hard to believe this was inspired by an April Fool's video.

...I get the feeling this is gonna take some explaining.

Reviewtopia's Il Neige (pictured center) recently did an April Fool's episode of his show, What We Had To Watch, in which he reviewed the movie Snakes On A Plane in the style of Film Brain. Towards the end of said review, this line is uttered by "Film Brain" to Neige:

"Oh, come now. Was it ever really YOUR show? ...You sure it's not really mine? Or Nostalgia Critic's? And that maybe you've just been BORROWING it this whole time?"

Now, the word "derivative" or "ripoff" tends to get thrown around a lot in the reviewer world. It's harder than one would think making an actual name for yourself, especially if you were inspired into doing it by someone more well-known. So that line got me to thinking rather seriously about the sense of a reviewer's identity, their own self, and what they have to do to obtain it.

...I took that thought and immediately added violence to it.
Because YAY VIOLENCE.

(Also, you should check Il Neige's show out. He's honestly very good.)
