Description This is a birthday present for my dear friend ferret82 I hope you like her! Since I already blew up the surprise a few days ago, by asking him if it was alright if I drew his OC, I might just as well upload it today, one day early.

I really wanted to give him something more than just an emoticon-bomb on his profile. ferret82 checks my chapters for typo’s and grammatical screw-ups and he has made a lovely animated pixel of Aronansa. So when I noticed his icon in my DA-birthday calendar popping up I was like… yeah, lets add something to the workload.

This is his fantastic OC Sora, she’s been with him since the Morrowind game, Oblivion and now Skyrim. Sora has aged a little over time, from the adorable girl with pigtails from Morrowind into the badass woman that roams Skyrim today. I love that he has kept his OC for this long and how she has changed, that is why I wanted to draw her in her current Skyrim-style. With a Septim-coin background as she is a sneaky sneak sneak Dunmer thief after all.

Thank you for everything!

Wahhhh, thank you so much!   Yeah, I love Sora, I wanted to show her as a though cookie that hasn't lost her charm during these last centuries. I had fun with the braiding, I tried several things but now I found the way to do it with this result and I'm quite happy with it. Oh Nansa, dear... get that little Bosmer butt over here; it is time to try out some new hairstyles.   Coin is good, very good, always good... too bad it is never enough though.

Jay, I'm so glad you're happy with her! Thank you!

Whahaha, you should draw her like that! Swimming in Septims.    Just don't steal Nansa's... she honestly stole those herself!

Such a cool character. I love it that he has kept her from Morrowind through Skyrim.

I've had Aravi since Oblivion. I found out later that there is an NPC in Morrowind named Aravi, and I worked that into her story too.

Looks like your getting used to drawing on the tablet, It looks very nice! I love the details and the background, especially her hair~

Thank you so very much! Yeah, I'm really having fun with it and a lot of frustration and stupid mistakes   It added a whole different dimension to my view on art now as well. I always loved visual art but now I look at the details and start thinking 'how did they made that...' I'm glad you like the hair, it is the first time I have drawn it digitally. Of course, Cey has hair too, but those are braids so that is a totally different texture. Having fun!

RiddlerSphinx In reply to Sharquelle [2014-08-04 17:11:00 +0000 UTC]

No prob~! Haha, I usually do the same. Practice and trying out new things definitely helps.
Yeah, it looks very good for the first time doing digital hair. (Mine was a mess the first time I tried ) Although, it does look like you used a lineart/outline for the hair(?). Maybe you should try a painting kind of technique for the next drawing? It might look better since you do all the detailed lines in the hair well. (eh, I don't know how to explain stuff.)

Haha, that's good!

Sharquelle In reply to RiddlerSphinx [2014-08-04 18:16:20 +0000 UTC]

Her hair alone is made up of 9 layers hahaha! Oh, maybe I should change the layers next time so the white outlining doesn't show at the base? That would make it less 'hard,' and it would show the base in a similar fashion as I did with the rest of the hair. Is that what you mean?

And yup, that's pretty much what I was trying to say.

Ah, great! Then your explanation is perfect! I'm gonna try that with the next one, thanks for the advice! Much appreciated!

Wow! That looks really good! You're getting a hang of drawing on the tablet, aren't you? So many little details! Great piece!

Sharquelle In reply to LadyMetaRose [2014-08-04 13:02:28 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much!   Yeah, it is a lot of fun. I try to do it in between the writing but this one had a deadline.  I was afraid I wouldn't get it done in time, I surprised myself when I did. A lot of things I did for the first time in this picture, but it was fun trying out different things and look at the result if the result came out as I hoped for... and use the CRTL-Z very often I'm keeping a WIP-screenshot list with every piece now to look back on my actions after it is finished.

Haha, CTRL Z is my friend. Well, CTRL+ALT+Z because I wind up having to go back at least two steps most of the time.

Well, I'm glad you were able to get this done in time! It looks great! I love the eyes and facepaint! And the details in the hair!

Hmmm, yeah... that one too, as well as 'load previous work' and death-stare my monitor.

Thanks, I'm glad it worked out, and that I managed to stop fiddling with it. I need to learn not to let individual pixels b*tch me around.

Haha! Poor you!!!

Nope, don't let individual pixels push you around.

Perfectionist.
