Fanfiction motivation and pls do not compare it to the game it is going on a different path.I still believe and always will Haytham has a soft tender side and nursing Connor is a most heart cranching thing a Father can do. (well would be one more level up to crushing of the heart but that will not happen)

HOURS EAIRLIER
"Where are you, Charles?!" Connor was clearly in no condition to fight, but he needed to take out Lee before he could do any more harm.
"Right here, boy." Connor turned around and saw Charles Lee. Connor attacked cutting Lee's arm.
"Your finished boy you and your Patriot friends." Charles Lee said thrusting his sword forward, he dove at Connor. Despite being wounded, Connor managed to sidestep him.
"No your the one who's finished," Connor said. Lee punched Connor in the face and drove his blade into Connor's abdomen. Connor crumbled to the ground.
"Don't worry Connor...your father will soon be joining you," Lee said raising his sword before he was attacked from behind by Haytham.
"Hello Traitor," Haytham said.
"Your son is as good as dead. Now it's your turn." He attacked Haytham had already drawn his sword and deflected Charles Lee attack.
"Where is the medallion ?" Haytham yelled renewing his stance
"Your Son has it," Lee said thrusting at Haytham and renewing his attack. They fought each other until another explosion knocked them both down, Lee got back up and ran for it while Haytham ran over to his son a pool of blood was growing under him and Connor wasn't moving. Hayhtam ripped up his cloak and bandaged the wound stopping the bleeding but still, Connor didn't move.
"CONNOR!!" Haytham yelled shaking Connor a bit but Connor didn't respond. No not Connor. Anything but Connor, who he was never a proper father too, who did not understand… who now would never understand. His throat was tight.
"Son, please." He buried his face in his shoulder.
"Even if they're full of hate," His eyes squeezed shut fingers curled around his robes.
"Please, Connor. Open your eyes." Haytham sobbed openly.
"Father..." Haytham heard he felt Connor move and his eyes were opened, full of pain.
"Connor thank God," Haytham said carefully picking Connor up, Connor didn't even struggle. He could see now that Connor was wearing the medallion but the Templar's needs would have to wait, right now his Son needed him.

Not bad, sound good I had someting simillar but with more complication.
How Connor end up at Haytham’s place, well if I would have more time I would write it down. Maybe one day. Untill then, just circles in my head.

Aw, how I wish I could see this happen in the actual game... :3 Hm, I can think of one fanfic, maybe, where I read something like this happen... I wish there was more material on it, though!

yes, ppl mostly writers temp to do this. We want some caring time given to our fav assassin and templar not just killing and chasing after bad guys.
