I've been trying to do different style of drawing for different series of books. One is manga-like and the other type is more realistic. Which style do you like more?....^^The 2010 X'Mas sale is still going on here: [link]

想了很久... 最後還是覺得寫實一點好.
漫畫畫風在這幾年垂手可得, 好像也提不出什麼新意; 要讓人驚艷也是困難. 就連外國人也開始分一杯羹. 如果是在很競爭的環境裡的話, 不容易吃香 何況老是看到童顏巨乳的角色總是老是覺得有什麼不對... (是心裡的良知作祟? 笑~) 反而是用寫實一點的畫風更容易讓自己獨樹一幟, 更容易吸引別人的眼球.
這只是我的小意見, 說出來作個參考吧. (苦笑~)

謝謝你的意見哪!其實我個人也是喜歡寫實風格的唷~也不見得是市場考量,就是個人比較...恩..拿手和偏好吧!不過,出版社總是希望能有不同風格的畫風,所以總是要換著畫畫看,最近還嘗試了新風格,改天再來分享!!!至於你文章裡有提到的那個問題,我私人意見是:看對方的用途.還有,對我來說很重要,如果是同胞,我會認真考慮拒絕...............

我在文章裡說過啦... 我也不像個喜歡玩藝術的票友, 什麼事情總是喜歡想的多一點. 所以才說這是做個參考而已, 聽聽就好.
出版社那裡的要求總是人之常情, 那是沒話說的. 可是太過要求畫師也是不對的. 客人看一個畫法看久了就會有一點親切感, 喜歡上了就會死忠. 如果常常改來改去, 倒是適得其反了. 如果哪個老編再說要換換畫風, 開始要求的過份了, 記得還是要反擊回去啊! 畢竟在這一行妳才是專業啊! 不過... 我還是希望看看妳的新作. 對我來說, 妳是我的目標啊! (笑~)
會寫那個文章, 是因為我的一些同學跑來問我能不能幫他們的太太孩子們畫頭像, 要拿回家送家裡的人. 說他們願意付錢, 請我答應... 真是慚愧. 我們整個碩士班裡只有我一個老中, 是舉目見不到同胞的悲慘狀況(笑~). 不過就是因為有很多人是自己單身一個來讀書, 把老婆孩子留在家鄉, 所以一不好意思推卻這樣的要求, 二是更不好意思收錢. 而且, 說真的要收錢, 根本不知道什麼才是行情價, 所以才想跑來問問有經驗的人啊!

You're pretty good at the manga look, but I think I prefer your realism look a bit more -- although I'd definitely like to see what you could do with this one

I personally like the more realistic one. But, for publishers here in Taiwan, they like me to do both, or maybe more different style...^^
