OH MAN FINALLY. A combination of Real Life and Art Block Apathy meant this took waaay longer than it should've, but it's finally done.The official character sheet for my character Sal Burken of The Aether. I'm really really proud of how this picture came out, from the sketches to the inked/colored main pose. As I made this with the intent of putting it in my portfolio, this is a good thing.
Sal and The Aether belonga me. Oh Sal, you popped out of nowhere to be one of my favorites. I guess it's easy to draw your favorites.

Anyway, why does it say the tattoo is imperfect? Looks fine to me! Also, I gotta say, I love the pants and trenchcoat, clothing is a toughie for me.

Dang, this looks super super slick! I am really digging this style of lineart with the varying thickness. Also the color choices for his outfit. Oh man, his scruffy hair and missing tooth, too. And I really enjoy the sketches on the right. Blah blah blah nothin' to do but gush here! This is a really nicely executed character sheet!

Firstly? I love the design of his arm. It looks ethereal (aetherial?) while still looking solid enough to pack a punch. Using red makes a nice change from the usual electric blue, as well.
Secondly? I love that tattoo. Is Sal of Scottish descent? It would make sense, with the unicorn and the motto.
Thirdly? I really want a coat like that.

What does the writing on the tattoo say? I only figured out "nobody me," the first two words.

Actually it says "nemo me impune lacessit". It's the motto on the Royal Coat of Arms of Scotland.

It's the motto of the Order of the Thistle. Appears on castles and other buildings all over Scotland.
