Well the autumn off shore storm season continues to deliver for the Coffs Coast. I was in a tricky position with the storm approaching from the north giving me a limit view from the lookout I was on. I kind of like how the grass is silohetted in this anyhow.Related content

glad you left the grass in, gives it an incredible angle compared to just any old lightning picture going round.

Incredible shot! I agree with some others here saying they didn't like the grass so much, but I think if you crop a bit more off from the bottom, it'd add more to that power aspect; making the viewer feel much smaller compared to the massive storm cloud.

I didn't much like it at first, then I saw the huge mass of clouds ( which I had thought detracted from the lightning's impact ) had a 'crushing' effect on the viewer ( srry I don't know the technical term ) i.e. we feel down in a hollow, our nose in the grass and that awesome power above us…
