Yay everything seems to work!Tested my brushes with an idea I got when I was bored without any computer, I watched the new pokemons from pokemon moon/sun, I saw a freaking cute pink mantis pokemon and I absolutely had to try to draw my taurmanitses in a athro way.
I'm so pleased with the result, I had so much fun!
In the order of the tests:
1st one: Drew a fast drawing of my idea
2nd: Accentuating features to make it more interesting
3rd: Dynamic pose
But I definitely can't call them taur-mantis anymore XD

Maybe should I find a better name for the whole specie?
I think this looks way too much like taurmantis to be a single specie.
I should maybe keep this idea for myself
I know not a lot of you are huge fan of my taurmantis like I am azsdfds

Previously I wasn't very interested in taurmantises (entirely out of personal preference, I liked the colours, but the body structure was difficult for me to draw quickly in sketchy form), but the anthro form makes it a lot easier! It also makes them more...expressive(?) since you can put them in all sorts of fun poses.
I like the anthro taumantises (mantaurs? XD) a lot, though they remind me too much of the pokemon Leavanny for me to consider having one. Sketching some for fun isn't bad at all though!

Pokemon already did 3 anthro mantis pokemon, it's hard to make them looks realy different as long they all have the mantis features c:
BUT I'll show you a preview of my adoptable batch, they are all very different and doesnt look anymore like a pokemon with the new features

It's very true--you can only do so many versions of that particular body structure. Thank you for showing me the preview, as they are much more diverse than the picture shown here.
Curious question--are taur-mantises only insect-based, or can they be themed around arachnids too?

HHHH I LOVE taur-mantises the way they are, but I super enjoy the idea of them being able to stand on two legs too! ;uu; Although I do prefer them with six legs because they are buggies after all, but that doesn't stop them from being able to be bipedal as well <3 Just please, no canon human forms.
As for a new name... Hm... In this form they resemble insect pixies/fairies so maybe Mantifae? I also see wasp anatomy and moth fluff fairly often for them, so perhaps the name should allude to insects instead of just mantises? Whatever you decide, I will support you. I will always love your taur-mantises~ ;ww;

I love taurmantise but I'm not usually a fan of centaur-esque designs, so I wouldn't really draw them in the taur form. But these anthro forms I definitely see myself drawing more ! I love these guys a lot.

I would love if my taur mantises could have this form as well, and maybe a human form too, since they seem to be magical. Would you ever be up for desigining this form for one of my taurs, accessories and all?

(oh god I'm not good with pokemons name, it isnt my generation anymore hahahaha I am 27y old and the first pokemons where released when I was just a kid so now I'm like WHAT HOW MUCH ARE THEY NOW I FEEL SO OLD)
I remember thoses old times when I was playing the whole day on pokemon yellow, alone in my room, without any friends... IT WAS AAAAWSUUUUM.

And I know what you mean, haha, there are so many! They release new ones every year so it's easy to lose track of all of them. Ahaha you're the perfect age to know all of them because you've seen the first generation up until the most recent! Some younger kiddos don't know all of them either!
I started with Ruby (I'm 22 and started playing when I was like 5 or so!) and it's still my favourite one to this day!! Those were the days :'D
