Description On the world now known as the Khanty-Mansia SSR around 673,000 Khanty and Mansi people were settled by the Soviet Union. Their original okrug had been established in 1930 and renamed as the Khanty-Mansi National Okrug in 1940, now they were the Khanty Mansi National Planet, their own SSSR and the local were distant relatives of the Hungarians over the Ugric branch of th Finno-Ugric or Finno-Ugrian family, which was why Stalin also started to resettle some Soviet Union Ukrainians to the world as well in hopes this would aid them in a growing local agriculture. A plain world with much forestation the most important thing found on the world was not the fertile land along it’s rivers, but surprisingly for the Soviet Union at the time their discovery of oil and gas on the planet, which later made it one of the main oil and gas producing worlds of the USSSR at one time providing nearly half of the whole supply of the Soviet Union on it’s own. Energy and fuel independent because of this Khanty-Mansia therefor became rather independent and mainly coming from the local Ukrainians intermarrying and mixing with the Khanty Mansi also came a growing independence and autonomy movement that greatly displeased Stalin. As all local towns and cities were located close by each other near the capital Khatny-Mansiysk along the same major river and lake network such rebellious ideals and ideologies soon spread across the whole settled world and soon local riots and uprisings had to be crushed by the Red Army. With Stalin then simply denying them the food transported they needed to survive, these small uprising seemingly ended quickly. Unknown to the Soviet Union officials however, the locals found other ways to resist and oppose the Soviet Union, mainly by either slacking in their jobs and massively hindering overall productivity whenever possible, except for branches they themselves needed to survive and rive rather well. This meant that the Khanty-Mansi SSR never became as efficient or prosperous as possible and mainly this also limited the later overall population to just a little over a million in total. At the same time the otherwise prosperous and self-efficient colony often made it into Soviet Union Propaganda as a prime example on how to be self-relied on food and other basic resources needed.

Because of this the Khanty-Mansi SSR and the local oil and gas industry not only made the world rather energy independent, but actually allowed for it to also later shift it’s industry to building vehicles all the way up to tanks, as well as aircraft for the Soviet Union Red Army. Like many local SSR, the Khanty Mansi one as well over time became partly independent, despite all efforts of unification of the USSSR into one galactic spanning union state, as local dialects, culture, ethnic and religious tradition the longer isolated beside trade only increased no matter if brainwashing in Soviet schools or the administration tried to reverse this effect. As the years went by the Soviets did not rule to harsh despite some of this local rebellious and independence as the world was major to aiding them to produce the weaponry for the Red Army, as well as the fuel since most of the massive forces of the Soviet Union would never get special trinium armor and naquadah fueled reactors to power them, but realied more on older, outdated Soviet Union member world equipment, even if most of that was up to date to Earth/ Tau’ri standards. Against well armored Jaffa Elite Guards and the Goa’uld starting to learn from the Tau’ri enemy infantry and their weapons and vehicles however, this only worked when they overwhelmed the enemy with sheer numbers, which was why local rebellions and uprisings, influenced by Communist ideology against the false Gods that stood atop the Goa’uld Theocratic, Aristocratic hierarchy were the sole best bet to win this war against the Goa’uld Empire were otherwise all odds were stacked against the humans from Earth. Knowing this as well, Stalin and the Soviet Union tried to infiltrate the ranks of the enemy Goa’uld and use captured Jaffa armor to trickily turn the Goa’uld against one another, as they were easily to believe that a rival had attacked them, instead of suspecting a human Tar civilization to play them against one another. This only increased their skirmishes, battles and infighting in the overall later Goa’uld Civil War, which in turn gave rebellions and uprisings against them supported by the Soviet Union a much better chance of surviving.
