Description The Makurth Commander Kurtam was member of the saurian species native to Moltok, a rain-forest planet full of volcanoes in the Outer Rim Territories Atrivis sector. Often employed as bodyguards of the criminal underworld. As green scaled sentient bipedal saurians, they normal possessed four horns on their heads, one pair curled downwards from the top of the skull one hair curled upwards from the sides of cranium. They had savage-looking teeth, were nocturnal carnivores and could produce a terrifying scream before combat, while also snorting and flaring their nostrils in order to intimidate opponents. Coming off their own world by 1001 BBY, when one of them, Fohargh would be trained by the Sith in their Academy on Korriban, were some of them would become Sith Lords in the Brotherhood of Darkness, Fohargh would even duel the Human apprentice Bane, first besting him, later strangled by Bane trough the Force. The Makurth Commander Kurtam himself had worked as a member of the Black Sun, the Shadow Collective, before it’s remnants partly joined the Separatists to survive, gain jobs and credits by operating against the Galactic Republic and Jedi on behalf of the Separatist Alliance Conglomerates and Count Dooku. This way the former criminal gang leader suddenly became commander of his own group of mercenaries, bounty hunters, space pirates and other organic auxiliaries of the regular organic separatist militia, local organic armies or Battle Droid armies alike. By proving himself during this skirmishes, raids and battles and with the Separatist Alliance shortage of skilled commanders and leaders, Makurth Commander Kurtam was granted the allowance to lead battle droid armies and have a much higher command rank, then he had before under mere mercenaries before. This way he had the chance to prove himself in true grand command and show to himself and others that he himself would be a capable commander for the greater Separatist Cause. While no brilliant military commander directly, the Makurth made up for it by direct use of force, as well as brutality, just like he had learned during his time working for the criminal underworld.

Becoming known as one of the most brutish Separatist military leaders, Makurth Commander Kurtam would not spare the innocent, weak or ill, if doing so could mean he would gain an upper hand in battle. Because of this he would attack civilian targets and medical centers as well to force the hand of enemy Republic Troopers/ Imperial Troopers to defend them, weakening their defenses in other places to win against them this way. With the Republic this often meant targeting civilians, upon their support they relied and using causalities and weak protections of them to rally people behind the Separatist Cause, knowing to well that the Republic would often not retaliate in the same way, this way allowing the Separatists to claim they protected the civilian population of the worlds who had sided with them better then the Republican Loyalists did theirs. Because of that Makurth Commander Kurtam himself also utilized droids like Droideka and Hailfire droids to an extent, as they themselves were capable of inflicting heaviest causalities on enemy Troopers and civilian targets alike if they needed to. Thanks to this tactics and strategies he was among those Separatist Commanders with the most Republic and later Imperial losses in Troopers and civilians alike during single skirmishes and battles. At the same time he was never one to accomplish major important victories, which was why he remained among the more medium known and capable Separatist leaders, not as bad as the truly unprepared and incompetent ones, often those out of local militias and militarizes without any true combat experience from before the Separatist Crisis and the Clone Wars, but was also not among their most skilled, most feared and most prominent ones either like the greatest admirals and generals of the Separatist Alliance, many of which whom were either force-sensitive, trained Jedi or Dark Acolytes, or members of previously capable and skilled military branches of several Conglomerates, or their own Independent System and World forces. Still he was among the more capable middle-tier of the Separatist military leadership, even if most of it was because of his brutal and ruthless tactics and strategies against civil and military targets alike to keep an upper hand against his Republic and Imperial counterparts.
