Do you use mechanical pencils (0.3 mm) and graphite powder or so? The details are really amazing.

Also, if you don't mind, what size is paper is this made on?

You should have gotten way more views and favorites for this

This piece is A3 in size. I used Caran D'Ache Grafwood sketching pencils and a Tombow Mono Eraser for the highlights. I draw with a magnifying glass to help me see the details! I haven't tried graphite powder, is it something you recommend?

Must have taken forever to do that with a magnifying glass!

I only bought graphite powder myself recently, but haven't got the right paper for it (I understand it needs to have a mre open structure, for it to stick). You can make nice gradients with it, as you use a brush to apply it (Might get messy tho, lol).

It looks similar to charcoal in the way it is handled and the effect it has. Charcoal was never my strong point, too messy and I'm too much of a control freak haha! I also wouldn't have the right paper as I use Bristol Smooth and I expect the powder would smudge straight off. I'll be interested to see how you get on with it though
