I've been slowly uploading these into my scraps but I figured I'd put them all together so you guys could see what I've been up do! I'm hoping to turn these into cute little sketch cards for florencecon this year.

The are great but I gotta ask, how do you get the whole "using color in lines" thing to work. Every time I try it it looks weird.

It takes a lot of experimenting, so don't get too discourage and keep trying!
What I do is normally I stick with very dark greens/blues/reds/purples for the line work and then I color over them as I lower the opacity so the lines can bleed through the colors. That's how I get the results I want.
So for Lapis, I cleaned it up with using a very dark blue as the lines, and then colored over it and lowered the opacity. The same thing with Rose. I used a dark red for the lines and colored over the sketch after lowering the opacity.
