Thank you. As I remember, it's a key. In Fushimi Inari, One fox is holding a key, another is holding a precious stone.

Angkor in Cambodia are very interesting place. There are a lot of old ruins. When you walk in the ruin alone, you can get an exciting feeling like Indiana Jones.

SheltieWolf In reply to lycanthrope-bata [2012-06-12 22:15:23 +0000 UTC]

SheltieWolf In reply to lalapubpub [2012-06-09 06:02:58 +0000 UTC]

Not only Sakuragawa. It's only one of branches of Mitake shrine. If you went to Mitake shrine, you can look wolf's statures. The main of Mitake shrine is in Okutama. Okutama is mountain-foot of east Tokyo area.

Thank you. You must come to Japan someday.

狛犬 originally came from 宋. So, Japanese called them 唐狮子 when it was imported from China. ^^
I sometime looked a couple of lion statures. This one is a stature of 杭州岳飞庙.
I have one question about Chinese lions. They're sometimes hung a lovely red ribbon around the neck. Is that 护身符 or something?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

darkwolf046 In reply to SheltieWolf [2012-06-10 04:21:23 +0000 UTC]

Yes,in after i surely go to Japan to see they
I think the red ribbon‘s effect is 辟邪(also can be said 护身符).because red is auspicious and can avoid some evil‘s color in China, but some location lions is not have red ribbon.^^

SheltieWolf In reply to darkwolf046 [2012-06-10 13:14:32 +0000 UTC]

SheltieWolf In reply to darkwolf046 [2012-06-11 11:02:59 +0000 UTC]

darkwolf046 In reply to SheltieWolf [2012-06-21 04:51:59 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SheltieWolf In reply to darkwolf046 [2012-07-08 07:31:36 +0000 UTC]

大神=ookami
